WR3000 European version?

I bought a Cudy WR3000 v1.0 from Cudy on Amazon.com a few days ago. It just arrived. On the back of the box, it says, "WR3000_EU V1.0." Cudy customer service is telling me that this is the European version. I live in the US and so I thought I was getting the US version. But will it still work with openwrt?

Yes but requires some indepth knowledge. Tried this myself.

What you will need:

3 drops of Moonlit Dew, collected at dawn

A pinch of Crushed Stardust

1 sprig of Whispering Lavender

7 Pumpkin Sprite Seeds

A swirl of Dragonfly Honey

1 Teaspoon of Midnight Cocoa Powder

A single Feather of a Ticklish Raven

A splash of Enchanted Spring Water

Begin by setting your router over a gentle, flickering flame—anything too hot may cause the Pumpkin Sprite Seeds to leap out prematurely. Pour in the Enchanted Spring Water and stir clockwise until it shimmers faintly. Add the Moonlit Dew drop by drop; each should land with a soft chime if the potion is welcoming you properly.

Next, crumble the Whispering Lavender between your fingers so it releases its soft, lilac-colored sighs into the mixture. Toss in the Pumpkin Sprite Seeds, which should begin to bob and glow. Drizzle the Dragonfly Honey slowly—the potion will thicken into a velvety swirl. Sprinkle in the Midnight Cocoa Powder to deepen the color.

When the brew starts humming, gently lower the Ticklish Raven Feather onto the surface and watch it dissolve.

Stir counter-clockwise once, clockwise twice, and let the potion settle. Pour onto router.

You can now install OpenWRT.

Alternatively, follow this.

Don't forget to summon a daemon while pouring ...

I was able to get a Cudy rep to elaborate. The rep said,
Although the packaging indicates an EU version, this router is fully compatible for use in the US. We have already optimized it for US specifications, ensuring seamless operation.
