I was just wondering if anyone that has this device can give some insight of it's WiFi performance and range on both 2.4/5Ghz? I just recently ordered a couple of these devices.
I have 2 * WR1200JS
performance is correct in WDS / 5Ghz
similar performance to XIAOMI R3G but much easy for install OpenWRT
5 Gigabits ports
-> i have also 2 * XIAOMI R3G ( only 3 * LAN ports )
Did you use the Firmware Openwrt Upgrade listed on the YouHua WR1200JS Techdata site on openwrt.org to upgrade it?
You can use last OpenWRT 18.06.5

Hey,
Do we have to use the u-boot method to update to 18.06.5 on this router?
Or can we just use the luci web interface?
If you have a OpenWrt version:
1 - sysupgrade or
2 - ssh ( or serial console ) mtd write "name_of firmware" firmware
If you have another version
bred u-boot ( with serial console key enter quickly after reboot )
