They're a marketing group -- that shouldn't be too surprising.

As noted in the other thread that @lleachii linked, hostap supports WPA3 in their current master branch.

Is this accessable in LuCI Master or via the UCI, though?

I have an all OpenWrt WLAN, and I'm willing to test!
