Wireless USB dongle doesn’t work in OpenWrt

Hi guys,

I'm new to OpenWRT and trying to setup a travel router using a RPi4b.
Image is installed and have done basic setup and gotten the internal wireless online and connected to my home wireless for package updates, but I haven't been able to get my USB wireless dongle to get installed. Looking at the documentation. The USB adapter is 2.4 GHz, and 5 GHz.

get https://github.com/morrownr/USB-WiFi or a cheap 2nd hand router, it'll be better in every way, but CPU performance.

Just bought the Alfa AWUS036NHA.

Do you happen to have the opkg command to install the drivers ?

Uses the Atheros 9271 chipset.

opkg update

opkg install kmod-ath9k-htc ath9k-htc-firmware

Alternatively you can also try this, I imagine there's a Canada version too

The Alfa is working great. I will stick with that for now.
Now I am just facing a problem with the VPN.
I am trying to follow along with NetworkChuck
everything besides my VPN works, I can connect to the network, but the wifi is not being rerouted to my VPN. I use hotspot shield, and I already tried with Nordvpn

Will do, thanks for the help everyone!
