Ummmmm...I hope "side-by-side" doesn't mean "simultaneous". "Simultaneous" testing of the same key to different machines will not work - due to the very design of Wireguard itself.
Can you just make a new key for the new device (and eliminate this is a possible issue), which can also be done "side-by-side"?
