Trying to get my phone as a wire guard client to use my wire guard server’s adblocker running on router I can connect to the wire guard server and use it but there is no adblocking working. I know it is something I have misconfigured, but I have not found the answer. Any ideas? what configs would help to solve this? Thanks for your time.
Adblocking usually works on the DNS level.
So in your WireGuard client set your routers IP address as DNS server.
Depending on your setup your router (DNSMasq) might listen on the WG interface or not
I can’t believe that was this simple I had my routers ip set for dns but for some reason also had 1.1.1.1 got rid of that and it seems fine now. thanks for your time, much appreciated
