Will there ever be an openwrt certification program?

OpenWrt has become one of the most revered router firmwares ever made, and
it is so well thought of, that I wondered if (forgive me if I make a silly suggestion) OpenWrt will ever have a certification program where people can take courses and become an OpenWrt certified engineer, like Cisco and other manufacturers have?

Doubt it since a certification program only mean something in a business and enterprise service contracts

Would be awesome if they did.

I decided to pursue enterprise level firewall product's certs that also have their configs/scripting written in Lua, so I can have some common ground.

Someone would have to develop a curriculum and exams. Depending on the context, the exams might need to be administered in person and/or online, so infrastructure would need to be developed to make this possible and to ensure that the exercises and tests can be verified and certified as legitimately the work of the student (so that cheating would not likely be a problem). These activities are common with for profit companies like Cisco and the like since they can devote resources to it and then leverage the student’s knowledge and familiarity with the product for further purchases, creating a nice virtuous cycle.

It would probably be hard to develop these programs and infrastructural requirements for a FOSS project with only volunteer contributors, especially if their available volunteer time could otherwise be spent developing the OpenWrt environment and/or contributing to day to day things like the forum, documentation/wikis, and databases.
