I have been trying to set up my WNDR3800 as a Wifi repeater following the tutorial at https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wifi/relay_configuration#wi-fi_extender_with_nat_or_what_to_do_when_all_else_fails .
The Wi-Fi extender with NAT (or what to do when all else fails) section is basically all that I need for my use case and the primary solution on that page resulted in a broken DHCP (as mentioned as a common problem on that page).
Two wireless connections are now running:
- one master for devices on the WNDR3800 network
- one client to function as the WAN
Unfortunately I am not able to get any internet connection. Not for devices connected on the WNDR3800 network or on the WNDR3800 itself when using the network diagnostics on the LuCI interface.
I am a user with average networking and linux knowledge if any additional info is needed and would appreciate any help
