Wifi not working on D-Link Dir-615 with firmware LEDE 17.01.5 r3919

I have D-Link Dir-615 rev D4 with firmware LEDE Reboot 17.01.5 r3919 that I had installed some time ago. I am using it to connect to my main router via wifi.
I want to use it again to extend my wifi to the garden but when I am trying to log on to its wifi I am not getting an IP address assigned to me, my phone says IP configuration failure.
My PC which is connected to the D615 via an ethernet cable and is receiving the internet and working perfectly.
The D615 wifi was working fine a year or so back when I was using it in the garden so I have no idea what I have done wrong or what setting has changed.

Any suggestions on how to get the wifi working again on the D615 ?

Anyone got any ideas I can try?

This version is unmaintained and contains known security vulnerabilities.

This device only has 4 MB flash / 32 MB RAM, which is too small for current OpenWrt releases.
The best way forward would be an upgrade to more capable hardware and recent OpenWrt.

If you still want to keep using this device, you should use the Image Builder or the OpenWrt source code to build a custom image of a current OpenWrt with reduced functionality. See also OpenWrt on 4/32 devices.
