Ever since youtube started to show recommendations of videos we watched to each other in the same wifi access point, I have been using vpn etc but to no avail

So, I have questions:

Is there a setting I am missing on openwrt for better privacy?

Is it better privacy if I create another access point 2 in the same router, for example in 5ghz and use it and let rest of people use 2.4Ghz access point 1?

Do android collect wifi access point names etc and make a list of people using same access point and recommend the videos etc?

Yes. And location information is added. There is an option to automatically send this to google "To improve user experience". On some androids this set by default to enabled. Turn it off.
Google/Youtube can also see your public ip address and 2+2=CustomAdverts.

Recommended:

  1. Turn off location and sending ssid.
  2. Don't use the Youtube app, use Newpipe or Grayjay apps from F-Droid instead.
