Thanks. I found RU in the list codes.

Same as international country codes. Can be verified in the DB source: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/wens/wireless-regdb.git/tree/db.txt#n1653

Default settings is '00' or 'AW.' This limits operation to only the limited set of channels and power levels that are allowed anywhere in the world. You will get better results setting to your actual country.

Here's a TODO for someone, I'm too busy elsewhere.

Edit the wiki https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-quick-start/basic_wifi
Add a section at the top "determining your country code"
Move some of the descriptive text and the wikipedia link from the CLI section about ISO 3166 up to that section
Add a reference to https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/wens/wireless-regdb.git/tree/db.txt as the definitive source
Search other wifi articles and add links back to this new section

Done.

Let me know if that's ok or do I need to change anything.

Power level per country code is like 220 or 110, probably you mean transmission strength?

Actually, yeah.

The numbers on parenthesis are in dBm, the strength, unless it's specified in mW (power levels). I'll make the change.

Thanks!
