Why vnstat is at version 1.12-1 only?

It's available here:
https://downloads.lede-project.org/snapshots/packages/mips_24kc/packages/

But I'm not sure if it will work with 17.01 release. You will have to check it out yourself.

Thanks. I installed vnstat_1.17-1_arm_cortex-a15_neon-vfpv4.ipk and vnstati_1.17-1_arm_cortex-a15_neon-vfpv4.ipk on my Netgear R7800 with LEDE 17.01.2 and it is working fine.

@r43k3n,

I see that you referred @mooninite to the vnstat 1.17.x release.

Have you tried it yourself? What's your experience. I'm a newbie who's a bit scared of doing such an upgrade and wanna see other people jump off the diving board before I do. :blush:

My Netgear is still running vnstat 1.17 with no issues.

I'm also using vnstat 1.17 on a Fedora server (x86_64) with no issues.

@mooninite,
When you made the upgrade to vnstat 1.17.x, did you lose any vnstat logs/stats/database?

Thu Aug 10 18:07:51 PDT 2017 update: did you first have to remove/uninstall your older/current vnstat? If so, doesn't uninstalling vnstat remove all the vnstat logs/stats/database?

You will not lose the database when upgrading vnstat... Please reference the upstream docs for further questions.

Hello @r43k3n and @mooninite.

I just wanna confirm something. My router is WD MyNet 750.
https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/wd/n750 says that the CPU is MIPS 74Kc @560MHz

On https://downloads.lede-project.org/snapshots/packages/, the only thing with the word "74kc" is mipsel_74kc (https://downloads.lede-project.org/snapshots/packages/mipsel_74kc/packages/).
Is this correct? I noticed that yours was "mips" while the 74kc is "mipsel".
