Why sta + ap works only with channel 36 and 44...?

I have an archer d7 and redmi ac2100. Both of them works only with channel 36 and 44 when wireless is ap + sta. When set to other channels, the AP doesn't work, only sta works. AP won't even show up on the wifi scan list.
I haven't tested all the channels, but 40 and 52 don't work for sure.
Does anyone knows if it is a bug?

Did you wait long enough? For combined STA+AP mode, the router must first establish a connection to the uplink AP, before its own AP can be brought up. On DFS channels you're in kind of a pickle, as the mandatory scanning for DFS clearance (at least one minute) is needed before the AP can come up as well - and some drivers/ firmware do have a high(er) false positive rate, treating any kind of interference (such as your uplink AP you're connecting to) as DFS source.

That said, I have (and still am) successfully used WDS/ 4addr with OpenWrt on DFS channels on QCA9888/ QCA4019 and AR9580 wireless hardware, so it's possible.

for some reasons, i can't even connect to uplink any more when set to channel 52.
The password is 100% correct since i didn't change any settings. Only changed the uplink router channel to 52.
i have restarted the router, nothing...
