Why I am struggling to install packages

How can I not use a snapshot image for my Xiaomi AX3000T router.
This is affecting me to update and install packages like banip

here are the firmware packages used to get openwrt on my router.

  • "openwrt-mediatek-filogic-xiaomi_mi-router-ax3000t-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin"
  • openwrt-mediatek-filogic-xiaomi_mi-router-ax3000t-initramfs-factory.ubi"

here are issues I receive on my router
Collected errors:

you need the most recent snapshot (not really, but it's the easiest way).

Thank you this helped

np,

keep in mind you'll have the same issue again, after ~24hrs, since snapshots are generated on a daily basis.

There is no stable version with support for AX3000T yet.
So you are stuck with snapshots for the time being.

When you run into the problem again and need to update again, Attended Sysupgrade is a nice way updating to a newer snapshot, keeping all installed packages intact.
