Where to buy ZyXEL EX5601 router (with international shipping)

Hi everyone,

Do you know where I can buy EX5601 router with possibility to ship it to Saudi Arabia?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thank you.

Does it need to be the EX5601 ?

Yes, it is T56 specifically

Quite frankly, you're 1.5 years too late for that being a steal, and something like ~8 months beyond that being a reasonable choice. If you got one, before all that -and flashed OpenWrt already, in time- it's still a great device, but not if you want to buy one today.

The price has more than doubled, the shipping tripled, the OEM firmware got locked down, it's now a shadow of its former self. Considering that you'd also have to deal with interesting payment, shipping and customs stories, the pragmatic alternative would be to just go with the GL.inet GL-MT6000 instead, basically the same hardware, sold worldwide(?), if you're lucky and wait for a sale around 110-120 EUR/ USD.

These are not the droids you are looking for, anymore.

The EX5601 (often ISP branded, check the T-56 wiki page for names) can often be bought on UK eBay around 55£.

UAE shipping is for you to figure out.
Parcel monkey might be a good start, but it's probably going to be more expensive than the device itself.

Agree! But hoping for a good luck

I am doing some searches now and in discussions with some sellers, let’s see how it will go

thank you for the insights

It is not available in UAE at all, I tried, but had no success whatsoever! If you have a seller then let me know.

No one claimed it would be.

The router arrived yesterday with vanilla OpenWrt firmware pre-installed by the seller. :slightly_smiling_face: I specifically requested this from the seller so I could be sure that the router is unlocked and fully supports OpenWrt.

It cost extra money for customization and shipping, but very happy to have received it with OpenWrt already installed. Now It can be flashed with customized OpenWrt firmware and configured exactly the way wanted.

Where you bought it would probably be interesting...
