What's this error on latest 5.4 kernel of mt7621? (LuCI RPC error)

On an newifi d2 device, after upgrade to latest 5.4 kernel snapshot, it keep returning error when click interfaces or wireless menu. kernel 4.14 is ok.

I have the same error but on other hardware. I even reset to factory default but it didn't help.
How we can debug the issue ?

You did wipe settings while upgrading I hope? 5.4 brings DSA for mt7621. Swconfig is deprecated.

In my case it was ATH79 which is currently on 4.19. Does it means that LUCI in snapshot version only support 5.4 kernel?

I can confirm this bug, actually I'm glad to read this thread, its not just me having this problem.

Where do you see that bug? On which page / tab? What packages are installed?

We see this bug on page/tab "Network -> Interfaces and Wireless". In my case the rest is fine. I just compile again:

So you don't include firewall3 in your builds? Thats the likely problem then. Try a touch /etc/config/firewall to workaround the issue.

Hi, Thanks for the fix in luci repo but it looks like it didn't help but your workaround resolve the issue:

RPCError
RPC call to uci/get failed with ubus code 4: Resource not found
  at ClassConstructor.handleCallReply (http://192.168.1.219/luci-static/resources/rpc.js?v=git-20.118.64226-066d92d:16:3)

Can I gather anu logs from command line ?

Current version:
Powered by LuCI Master (git-20.118.64226-066d92d)

@jow
yes I don't include firewall3 because I only need very simple and clean iptables rules, firewall is so complicated.
The workaround solve this issue but I think network->interfaces and wireless pages don't need to depend on firewall config file just like before.

I also do not include the openwrt firewall in my builds.

touch /etc/config/firewall corrected the issue for me as well.
