hello, |
1-my connection: 100 down & 50 up, VDSL2, Annex A/L, PPPoE, Egypt, We "Te-Data", internet & phone come on a single line, goes through a splitter, & goes into the VR600 1 RJ11 Port.
2-current hardware: tplink vr 600, d'link 2888a
3-home network: 1 or 2 PCs wired, TV wifi but could change to wired in the future, at least 5 smart phones active most of the time.
-first of all can I use one of those as a modem, or do I've to get a dedicated one.
-Second, I want to run sqm cake auto-rate, I often game on my pc, which is always gonna be connected through lan, & my sister on her laptop which is always connected through wifi, which is why I'm thinking of running sqm on both interfaces, for my sister who games on wifi, & since it apparently makes even browsing more responsive, also maybe airtime fairness "is this needed if I've no old devices? oldest I've is Samsung note 4" if openwrt supports it
-I need a budget router that can support all of this, without limiting my bandwidth under the 100/50 "see above", would an archer A6 v2 or v3 be enough 7 if yes or no, what are my options and alternatives,
-What's the best setup I can have? for example 2888a as a modem, feeding into the A6 that runs the sqm auto-rate, with all gaming devices connected to it whether over wire or wirelessly, while the rest of non latency sensitive ones "tv & file server" connect to the VR 600 that's connected to the A6's Lan?
