I'm sure this has been covered somewhere and I just can't find it, but I was wondering what is the impact of Reset (System>Backup/Flash Firmware>Restore) when done through Luci with a build of my own, does it simply restore the configs or does it also restore any packages that were uninstalled prior. For example, if I mistakenly remove a package, will Reset then restore that package, or do I need to rebuild and reflash, thanks.
It deletes the overlay (all your runtime changes), as a result you get whatever the package set and defaults of your installed firmware are (network, wireless, ssh/ ssl keys etc. are regenerated on the subsequent boot).
