The best way is to very, very quickly forget about the idea and to set up an actually secure VPN solution (wireguard, OpenVPN, strongswan IPsec/ IKEv2) instead.

i am gonna use it in a private network so there is no need to worry about it

wireguard is easier to set up - and you will find a lot of experience with wireguard in this forum. Barely anyone uses pptpd anymore, as it's totally insecure. I'm sure you can get pptp running as well, but you'd be mostly on your own with that.
