What are some good NVME drives for the OpenWrt One wireless router?

I’m thinking about getting an NVME drive for the OpenWrt One wireless router. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with NVME drives with this router. Any brands or models that work best? I assume that I don’t need the fastest drive on the market and can get by with cheaper drives. I’m looking for long lasting drives even if they’re on the slower side. And of course they have to fit and be passively cooled without a fan.

It needs to be an M-Key M.2/ PCIe (NVMe) SSD of the appropriate size (2230 or 2242), PCIe gen v2 or better (v3-v4 tends to dominate the market, which are fine; I would avoid v5+ for heat reasons). Not M.2-SATA.

Everything else is up to you. Name-brand SSDs are probably not a bad idea.

Specs indicate an M.2 2242/2230 NVMe SSD (PCIe gen 2 x1), so yes you don’t need to pay more for a gen 4 drive. You will want a single sided drive for mount screw compatibility.

I bought this for my OO’s https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006056866340.html?spm=a2g0o.order_detail.order_detail_item.4.6bcdf19c9smQ4g

So far, so good about 6 months 24/7. No abends with controller or drive. 3rd gen, more than fast enough. Runs cool. WFM.
