WDS station spams with CTRL-EVENT-BEACON-LOSS

Those are the default settings of the TP-link router with the default firmware. :upside_down_face:

And after I disabled 40 MHz, the problem was solved.

Thank you for rxplanation  They are wrong while selling very impressive link rate that never ever materializes IRL)

If a client has 1x1 MIMO, 40 may be a good solution. It depends on how crowded your place is.

Standard says 40MHz is valid only in greenfield scenario, ie no crowd at all.

I changed channel to 149 and the spam seems to disappear. It may be related to DFS scans.

No dfs for you

but could be faraway wifi noise affecting your wifi.

Noise is even lower on 56. And there are almost none APs at 5 GHz around.

I know that in my country there is no DTS. I committed the change to regdb

But it seems that there are some related bugs when dts is unset.

A steady spike in 10km wifi link 100m from you... Glad you solved it
I marked yours as answer - somewhat synchronous noise or indeed a bug can together break the wifi

The wifi wasn’t broken. Nothing but the log.

Finally switched to non-ct firmware, because there was another bug in failing to group rekey. It is a known bug since 2021.

It looks like -ct is not developed any more. The latest firmware is dated ‘2020, when the OEM is ‘2024. It looks like there is no reason to use -ct any more.
