I have the same problem. First question is what is this sta(tion) used for, could it be WDS?

I opened a github issue, a potential fix has been included for kernel 6.6. I don't know when that kernel will make it into openwrt.

These are the related issues:

According to wikipedia 6.1 and 6.6 are LTS versions.
If you're lucky openwrt will pick up 6.6, instead of 6.1 for the 2024 release.

It could also get back ported.

Great info @frollic, thanks!

I just checked (iwinfo command), and yes, sta1 appears when you use WDS. So now I've disabled WDS and will test stability.
