Hey guys,
i just bought a used WDR4300. With the stock TP-Link firmware wifi works great.
Then I flashed the latest openwrt. Since then wifi does not work anymore. No Wifi-LED lights up anymore.
After that i flashed back to 17.01.1 to see if it still does not work with an other firmware.
The following i found in the kernel-log:
[ 28.143598] ath: phy0: Unable to initialize hardware; initialization status: -5
[ 28.151078] ath9k ar934x_wmac: failed to initialize device
[ 28.156689] ath9k: probe of ar934x_wmac failed with error -5
[ 28.162605] PCI: Enabling device 0000:00:00.0 (0000 -> 0002)
[ 28.172795] ath: phy1: Unable to initialize hardware; initialization status: -5
[ 28.180261] ath9k 0000:00:00.0: Failed to initialize device
[ 28.185988] ath9k: probe of 0000:00:00.0 failed with error -5
I suspect the wifi chip has died. But why ? Was that coincidence? Or did I make a mistake while flashing?
Have a nice weekend
