Wavlink WL-WN570HA1 - new release hardware

I am able to select 20 dBM but had left it at "driver default".
But indeed 2.5G is not working for me, but maybe ther's a network setup issue on my side, I have modified br-lan to bridge eth0.9 my VLAN ID 9, the device is able to pickup an IP over DHCP and even when I'm setting it a static IP on my network I am able to administer it, it is able to ping my opnSense router, I can ping it, all fine.
I can connect a client device to it using 2.5G it is able to get an IP over DHCP (my opnSense router does provide DHCP on this VLAN9), but even giving the client a static IP still doesn't work : from the wifi client I can't ping either to the AP or my router both being on VLAN9... Reverse is also true, router can't ping the wifi client

Maybe a config issue on my end, firewall in openwrt I'm quite unfamiliar with...

What country code do you have selected in your 2.4 GHz settings?

none :
image

you need to set your country,

What effect does this have if the installed power does not comply with the legislation of my country?

effect for who ?

you should reduce it to whatever's allowed.

What if it is almost three times less than the maximum allowed? How can I increase it?

I did but still seems the AP is loosing wireless regularly, and even when connected I'm not getting IP connectivity ping doesn't work for me :frowning:

AFAIK the limits are in the regdb, if they're incorrect, they need to be updated.

The restrictions are correct - the wifi module does not work correctly...

Toxic0berliner
try this full build... 23.05/Wavlink/AERIAL HD2 WN570HA1/full

Thx @Morpheus68 ! But sadly WIFI doesn't work any better for me, regardless of the WPA level or even on open network, not able to even ping the wireless AP nor the router it's connected to :frowning:

How did you flash your patched image? I tried via intramfs it still boots to intramfs

Ok flashed via uboot so far so good working fine on 20dbm

I must have had something broken in my config that I previously kept while flashing your build that prevented wireless to work...
I have reflashed without keeping the config and set it up again and now wireless seems to work fine, vlans work fine... All good.

Only thing, probably you can't help it, upgrading packages or installing new ones fails mostly claiming a reference to a kernel that doesn't exist or read-only filesystem.
Probably this can be fixed when someone accepts your patch for mainstream?

Again, even as is the device is useful to me whereas it wasn't before your build so thanks a lot!

hello,
nobody find a good solution for wifi 5Ghz?
Morpheus firmware work well for all other functions ;(

thanks

hello,

do you try this change?

Thanks

Not on this device, but my understanding the mod should be very similar to Nexx WT3020, TP-Link MR3020 v1, etc.
