Original setup:
- Symmetrical gigabit fibre.
- Raspberry Pi 4 2GB.
- Managed switches with vlans.
- Wired WAP1 = Linksys WHW03
We've built quite a large house extension and all the new/renovated rooms have network ports.
Due to signal problems, I've added another WAP that I already owned.
- Wired WAP2 = Linksys MX4200v2
The MX4200v2 has great throughput, but it's a very bulky device and I originally had some issues with some devices not connecting, such as Roku sticks. I think I might have resolved the connection problems.
I think I might need to add at least one more WAP or possibly two.
The MX4200v2 is fairly cheap on eBay (around £50).
Are there any better devices at that price point? Maybe a bit smaller? I'd prefer something with a smaller footprint and without multiple external aerials.
