Wan6 static ip can't ping to internet

hi,
I configured static ipv6 address in WAN6 ,when i try to "ping -6 openwrt.org", it can't and prompt "ping: sendto: Permission denied".
I configured "ip -6 route add default dev eth0.2" then try to "ping -6 openwrt.org", it still ping fail "16 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss"

Is anybody know why?

  • You shouldn't have to add routes.
  • Does your ISP offer IPv6 service?
  • Did your ISP assign you this IPv6 address space and instruct you to configure it as such?

Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </> " button:
grafik
Remember to redact passwords, MAC addresses and any public IP addresses you may have:

ubus call system board
cat /etc/config/network
cat /etc/config/wireless
cat /etc/config/dhcp
cat /etc/config/firewall

Did you tried to specifying gateway with your default route?

static wan ip can't work in openwrt,so I configure the static ipv6 in HUAWEI router, then connnect a PC to HUAWEI and ping ipv6 address,it's ok.
I connect openwrt WAN to HUAWEI LAN and confiure WAN6 to dhcp, it got ipv6 address but still ping fail.

following is the output.

  • Then your first post isn't true?
  • Why can't this work for you?

?

Are you sure?

So you're asking us to help you with static addressing on a non-OpenWrt device?

it seems no matter i config static ipv6 address or dhcp in WAN6 on openWRT, it can't ping.

same environmnet, I use another router, it can ping.

so I'm confused with the openwrt router

Your posts above doesn't show this config, yet your original post describes this as your issue.

We're unable to troubleshoot your Huawei device configuration on this forum. Apologies.

Not enough details as you described 2 routers. It's unclear which you're referring to, if you used 1 router or 2, etc.

So are we, since you asked for assistance with a static IPv6 config, but showed a DHCPv6 Client config instead.

thanks for your reply anyway.
I searched and find the situation I accounted is similar with the following.

I noticed you never answered these questions. Also your descriptions never make clear if you ever successfully pinged an Internet IPv6 host with any router.

You can ping some IPv6 hosts?
