Wan side debugging

Hello,

My actual and long working configuration stopped working and I search a method to nail down the problem.
My hardware configuration:
ISP -> [LTE Stick (Cone Nat)] -Wan-> [openwrt] -Lan->
Following services running:
reverse proxy in Lan, forwarded http and https port to Proxy
Dyndns

Everything working great for a long time (to be honest, http challenge on certificate renew was somtimes challanging)

Now anything is working. Internet ok, but no acces to my servers from outside.
Severs are working on Lan side

My problem is, that it is hard for me to test, if the ISP, the Lte Stick or my firewall configuration is buggy.

My attemt is to open an wifi to wan side (new wifi, but instead of lan go to wan or mobileinternet). Onces i get an IP of my LTE stick, i will be able to test router configurations without getting blocked by ISP.

My questions are:

  1. it is possible to open a "wan" wifi? OpenWRT docu told this not do do.
  2. wich wan network to use? MobileInternet, Wan or wan6 ? I tried first two, but does not get IP from LTE stick.
  3. does this way make sense to debug my case?

Thanks for hints.

What make and model is your "wifi stick"?
Is it possible to change it to "passthrough" mode? Any NAT mandates that you first talk to outside before thay can access you.

I am using huawei-3372-153 with adapted rom for
domestic zone and cone nat.
Not shure if DMZ does this passthrough, but my WRT Router is configured as DMZ server.
And Firewall on LTE Stick is disabled. Only OpenWrt Firewall activated

Your Link tells me:
Port Restricted Cone

Can you run a portscan from web and see if ports are open?
