WAN interface security and performance (separate NIC vs 4 port NIC shared)

Hello all.
Another question regarding optimal setup of an x86 build. I have a 4 port Intel PCIe gigabit NIC as well as a Realtek motherboard gigabit NIC in the system. I've been wondering if there are any security or performance considerations around using the motherboard NIC for the WAN port vs using one of the ports on the 4 port NIC PCIe card? Would using one of the 4 ports on the PCIe NIC for the WAN interface compromise security in any way? I already suspect the performance of the Intel NIC might be slightly superior but probably not at my throughput levels (85 Mbps internet connection).

No considerations whatsoever.
