WAN drops after several hours

Hi all,

I upgraded to OpenWrt 19.07.2 from version 18.somethingorother a couple of days ago.

After several hours working fine, the internet drops out.

Looking in the kernel log I can see this message at the time it drops:

[55660.449348] eth1: link up (10Mbps/Half duplex)

I simply unplugged the Ethernet cable from the WAN port and reconnected it - it came back up immediately, with these messages in the log:

[56219.958966] eth1: link down
[56222.040254] eth1: link up (100Mbps/Full duplex)

I am using openwrt-19.07.2-ath79-generic-tplink_archer-c60-v2-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin.

Here are the details of my system:

Model - TP-Link Archer C60 v2
Architecture - Qualcomm Atheros QCA956X ver 1 rev 0
Firmware Version - OpenWrt 19.07.2 r10947-65030d81f3 / LuCI openwrt-19.07 branch git-20.057.55219-13dd17f
Kernel Version - 4.14.171

Is there anything I can do to resolve this?

I have read this thread, but I don't know whether I should be trying a different rom or whether that will give me a host of different problems: TL-WR841N v8 ath79 Link Unstable

Many thanks for any help.

I would change the cable first if it happens again.

The cable has been in place for over a year with no issues - this has only started happening since the upgrade.
