Hey,
I have just logged in into my web interface and i noticed that IPv6 Upstream appeared there by itself. Is it something to worry about or what? I didn't touch my router or anything.
In the Interfaces tab, there is a new wan_6 with the same pppoe-wan tunnel interface as on my wan interface. And for some reason i can't restart nor stop it.
wan6 is still there, unchaged.
If someone could share a light on what i might have just happened, that would be great.

it is the same pppoe-wan tunnel device
I mean in LuCI Status/overview
the network wan6
is included by default in OpenWrt and will be there unless you delete it. wan_6
(with the underscore) is not the way it should be in a default situation.
Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </>
" button:
Remember to redact passwords, MAC addresses and any public IP addresses you may have:
ubus call system board
cat /etc/config/network
cat /etc/config/wireless
cat /etc/config/dhcp
cat /etc/config/firewall

wan_6 is created during ppp negotiation if the pppoe interface is configured for automatic IPv6, and the ISP sends a pppoe packet that advertises they support an IPv6 connection.
If it appeared "just now" it is probably because the ISP has added IPv6 capability while they did not before.

I am not exactly sure where are you referring to.
trying to edit the wan_6 just doesn't work.

and
Ohhhh, it is set to automatic for me. Does it mean my ISP offers ipv6 internet connection now? Is there any benefit having it on or is it better to be manual instead.
I will set to manual for now.
@psherman will fix all this but to answer directly: click the big OpenWrt letters in the top left.
nah... @mk24 has the right answer.
