I am on CGNAT since a few weeks.
I am currently fighting to get an easy access to my OWRT router and my Immich router in my LAN.
After different not successful tries to overcome CGNAT, I am on the track to use a VPS.
Now the VPS (Oracle free tier) is up and running, Wireguard server is up and running but I don’t know how to proceed .. now I am getting some generic conceptual questions, maybe you can help me to understand?
Before CGNAT:
ISP public IPv4 →
DSL Modem →
OWRT router →
Debian Homeserver with e.g. Immich connected via NGINX to my DDNS
and without any VPN I could just access my homeserver and e.g. Immich
Now with CGNAT that is not working anymore!
And I thought I can somehow replace the DDNS with the VPS which offers me a public IPv4..
Is that possible, if yes How?
Do I even need a wireguard server running on the VPS, or can I just connect my NGINX to
that VPS, or do I need to run via the OWRT router, or ….
I am lost ….
