Two things...

First:

This is a very old version that has been EOL for a long time. You should upgrade to the latest release.

Second:

There are a lot of VPN services out there. Most of them have tutorials for configuring a VPN on various platforms, including OpenWrt. The most popular VPN protocols on OpenWrt are WireGuard and OpenVPN, so I'd recommend that you look at services that support one or both of these.
