Very slow WIFI on mobile devices and no internet on LAN

Tried openwrt 19.07.2 on my RT-AC58U and encountered a lot of issues. Does somebody else have same issues? I installed openwrt by following the "Easy Installation".

  1. Connecting WAN to the provider router (modem mode) with openwrt default settings (wan dhcp) has no internet connection on LAN. Switching the provider router to the "router mode 192.168.0.1 " gives internet available on openwrt LAN. (openwrt lan is 192.168.1.1).
  2. The wifi (2.4G channel-6 20MHz) has ~1Mb/s download speed on mobile devices (staying next to router) but ~40Mb/s on my personal PC (internal Wifi card, no cable). Tried to disable wmm and disassoc but no luck. Tested two different smartphones, same result on both ~1Mb/a speed.

ok. slow wifi is related to lineageos build https://gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/-/issues/1871. The issue with no internet in modem mode still exists.
