Using 24.10.6 backup in 25.12.4, D-Link R32

I have a D-Link R32 and made a backup in 24.10.6, can I use that backup now that I have updated to 25.12.4?

Why not upgrade with settings intact ?

I used Attended Sysupgrade and it soft bricked the router. It left me at the D-Link recovery room. I finally got it fixed with the 25.12.4 recovery, but all my setting are lost.

I just used the recovery and it worked, all is well. Not sure with I had issue with Attended Sysupgrade.

I got a message about automatically checking for upgrades. If I enable that will it warn me before doing them?
