USB to RJ45 recommendation

i have 1 lan port openwrt router and i'm looking for a USB 3 to RJ45 adapter.

i already ordered TP-Link UE300 and it will take about 1 month to arrive. (i dont have access to amazon and aliexpress will take months)

meanwhile i'm trying to buy another one from a local store

this one uses Realtek RTL8153 chip i think same as TP link one. will it work with openwrt ?

According to older forum posts, yes: Using Realtek RTL8153 with OpenWrt raspberry pi - #4 by RaylynnKnight

The 8153 chipset is known to work on a RPi with OpenWrt using kmod-usb-net-rtl8152 .

I presume it works fine with OpenWrt, in general, as long as you have the space for the driver package.

:spiral_notepad:
However be sure that hub has the RTL8153 chipset; I do not see a hub option on its website.

Sorry, slightly color blind.
I wondered why you answered your own question.

I use one with RTL8153 chip and works very well...

Zero problems...

To use on Openwrt, O only need install kmod...

opkg update && opkg install kmod-usb-net-rtl8152

bye!

thanks . just ordered one
