but lsusb still returned
unable to initialize libusb: -99
Did you format the device? are you sure your device is supported by your router? do you know what type of usb capabilities your device has?

Which LEDE version and which "other modules"?

kmod-ath9k-common kmod-ath9k-htc kmod-ath
is installed
my wireless adapter(ar9271) and flash disk didn't work.
They could work with these modules on Openwrt 15.05.1
