Hi, I have an er-x running the latest openwrt stable rc. Last os on the router was last 1.x ubiquiti with uPNP. I got nat type 1/open. (I’m aware of potential security issues so let’s table that). Now I get type 2 moderate, for both uPNP and with manually forwarding ports.
Other details, ps4 is plugged directly into a router port.
If running uPNP (default setup) I’ll see 2 redirect, one udp 9038 and a demonware one. In the logs I see this:
… rule with label 'DemonwarePortMapping' is not a IGD pinhole
… rule with label '192.168.0.59:9308 to 9308 (UDP)' is not a IGD pinhole
Are these normal? I also note that during game play, after some amount of time they disappear from the luci system log. Is that normal?
Manually forwarding ports I used:
tcp 3478-3480
Udp 3478, 3479, 3074. I then added the udp 9308 after I saw the demonware port.
So uPNP for me. What am I missing to get open nat type with uPNP? Yes I have checked the box ‘Enable IGDv1 mode’.
Is there a clue in the igd pinhole? Google isn’t showing anything helpful.
Added later: I see they ps4 network test shows type 2 while the in game shows open.
