Upgrade openssl version

Hi Openwrt Team,

I want to upgrade OpenSSL version from 1.0.2o to greater then 1.1.1g. How, can we process I want to cross-compile OpenSSL or can I upgrade OpenSSL version using the openwrt package system or any other easy way to achieve this.

There is no 1.1.1g yet. The latest release is 1.1.1c.
To upgrade, if you are using 17.01 or 18.06, you can simply download the libopenssl ipk from snapshot source. Note that you have to upgrade every program that uses OpenSSL as well, because OpenSSL 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 have different ABI (incompatible with each other).
