This is the best info I have:
I'm sorry I can't help with further details. I have been running version 22 on 4 devices. I have been posting updates in the threads about any issues. 1 2 have experienced 0 issues since flashing (it has the least config/file changes). Longest Uptime: 20+ days thus far (was on Solar/battery and I disconnected yesterday to maintenance the battery).
The 2nd I used a custom firmware (with the packages I need pre installed) I had no issues until one day LuCI and CLI stopped responding except to busybox
. I rebooted and installed a firmware without LuCI. Uptime: 17 days so far.
Here's the post on all 4 again: Upgrade from Barrier Breaker 14.07 to latest 21.02 (WD My Net N750) - #36 by lleachii
I provided the link to the Firmware Selector - the downloads site was also provided.
(FYI I have a 5th device that's still running 18 or 19 - I left it untouched for future testing - in case this issue caused flash corruption.)
EDIT:
4 devices:
Devices 1 and 2 have:
base-files busybox ca-bundle dnsmasq dropbear firewall4 fstools kmod-ath9k kmod-gpio-button-hotplug kmod-nft-offload kmod-usb2 libc libgcc libustream-wolfssl logd mtd netifd nftables odhcp6c odhcpd-ipv6only opkg ppp ppp-mod-pppoe procd procd-seccomp procd-ujail swconfig uboot-envtools uci uclient-fetch urandom-seed urngd wpad-basic-wolfssl
This is the default list on the Firmware Selector for 22.02.3. These work for me without issues.
I've added the following without issues:
wireguard-tools snmpd tcpdump
As I noted 2 devices have 0 issues:
- Device 1 - runs https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/22.03.0/targets/ath79/generic/openwrt-22.03.0-ath79-generic-wd_mynet-n750-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
- Device 2 - runs Custom firmware with LuCI, relayd and luci-proto-relay installed
Also:
- I expect that I will have issues running them if I make major config changes.
- I'm still editing configs and uploading; but I have not attempted to make major changes since I removed LuCI
- I will update when I have to change a device by CLI
- I made a seperate post regarding creating archives on the command line because of this ongoing problem with the N750 - see: Create/restore backup archive from CLI - #2 by trendy
