My APs are:
Netgear WAX202
ASUS RT-AX59U
ASUS TUF-AX4200
They all work fine after the Update, but the local ip and therefore luci was not reachable.
Update from 23.05.03 to 23.05.4: the acces point lost the local IP and luci is not reachable anymore
We can't work with "it doesn't work"....
What should I do with no IP and therefore no ssh? The only way was to reset them and then luci worked with 23.05.4. If I install the backup config, the IP is again not reachable.
I use a plain openwrt with no plugins, a simple config with device bridge with 3 vlans. Worked all the time beginning with 22.xx.
What backup you are restoring?
- No IP where?
- You only mentioned LuCI, now SSH?
- What about the "but the local ip"?
Did you have custom packages installed on these APs?- Were you upgrading via WiFi?
I've upgraded multiple WAX202s here - no issues.
In luci the restore configuration files point. Normally I update only with keep settings.
Did you edit this list of files?
Or are you referring to the firmware upgrade checkboxes?
We need detailed information.
To be clear, is that what you did this time?
... and are you sure the each backup was restored to the correct device ?
Three out of three is very unlikely, but it never hurts to ask.
I agree, this is abnormal.
Also, can you clarify this statement?
Did you mean "before the update"?
With no IP, I mean after the upgradeI can't reach the AP with his local IP.
As mentioned no plugins are installed and no edit of configuration files.
To clarify: I use the menue ->System->Backup Backup/Flash operation to upgrade and after the AP was not reachable I reseted the AP and tried to restore the config with menue ->System->Backup Backup/Flash->Restore.
Are you able to test by reverting and flash 23.05.03 and successfully restore your configuration?
They work fine before and after the update. After the update luci was not reachable with the local IP of the AP.
Before we go further - please clarify.
What works fine after the update?
Can you ping these local IPs[/u]?
Never tested it, but I will try it with an AP with 23.05.3.
All wlans work fine after the update.
Not reachable and of course I tried a ping.
you might want to change your thread topic ...
Have you tried a classic cold 30second reboot of the whole network?
Are you trying to connect with IP address or DNS name?
Have you checked in the router what IP the AP actually have, and used that IP for connection?
Yes, I know the IP and used that for the connection. The APs are behind a firewall and there are no leases after the update.
