Unstable internet fresh install RT-AX53U

So i installed OpenWRT on my Asus RT-A53U router, but it's not working properly my internet is not stable it keeps turning on and off and sites are opening and not able to install any software. Stock firmware working fine without any issue i want to use VPN for specific connected, that's why i want to use OpenWRT.

How internet connected
ISP > Modem > Asus Router > PC

What's about it isn't stable?

What turns On and Off?

Please clarify.

Did you already configure this?

Do you receive a Public IP address on WAN?

what would you like us to do with "it doesn't work" ?

I got 4 of them in far to drive places and they work rock solid.

Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </> " button:

  3. I'm not able to fully update the list or install software from web interface, it gives me error

  4. I didn't try this because I was experiencing multiple issues, so I didn't get to this point.

  5. Yes

your ASUS Router WAN and LAN subnets aren't the same, by any chance ?

i'll reinstall OpenWRT after that i will send you this log.

it probably won't change a thing ...

I hadn't checked that.

what I said, now answer the question.

How do i check this?
Sorry, this is my first time using OpenWrt

via ssh, you can run ifconfig.

it's also visible on the openwrt status page, if the webUI works.

Yeah both are same

edit /etc/config/network, change the 192.168.1.1 IP to 192.168.2.1, save and reboot.

i got this error

"edit" means it's probably a text file, not an executable, right ?

yeah, but how do i edit this in PowerShell

there's no powershell in Linux.

there's vim.

or use winscp.
