Unprotected LEDE wifi, no acces to settings

Hi,
My router was used to create a wifi network and split the lan received from a central home cable router.

Apparently they had a powerdown and the lan was interrupted for a while. Afterwards, my wifi was suddenly unprotected... Also, couldn't reach the 192.168.1.1 nor the router.login.net address used to connect to the Netgear WNDR3700.

Decided to do a factory reset, and after that indeed my wifi was gone, but it changed in to (an also unprotected) LEDE..... had never heard of that before, googled and ended up here

Could this somehow have been hacked, and somebody installed the LEDE firmware in this router?

Still can't reach the 192.168.1.1 address, not the router.login.net and traffic is horribly slow, if at all.

Please have a look if I am in the right place here, thanks if you would.

Would love to reinstall the original firmware, but wouldn't know how...
thanks

See https://openwrt.org/toh/netgear/wndr3700 for details about your device.

thanks, I checked that earlier, but it didnt give much to go on.

Ive been able to reinstall my original firmware using this guide:

still no clue why my wifi suddenly showed as LEDE, and why I couldn't do anything with it....
