Unknown WAN link

Hi, the WAN connection link status is UNKNOWN and in the openwrt gui the WAN link is red even though it is connected and working
ip a output:

pppoe-wan: <POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST,NOARP,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1492 qdisc fq_codel state UNKNOWN group default qlen 3
    link/ppp

is it a problem ?can you help understand why?

The red color designates the firewall zone. It will be red whether connected or not.
