Unexpected IPv6 traffic on WAN interface

Hello,

I just installed 19.07.3 and use OpenWRT as router device (connecting via WAN to a Gateway with DHCP Server).
Since I don't need IPv6, I tried to get rid of it via LuCI by...

  • deleting WAN6 interface
  • unchecking "Use builtin IPv6-management" for LAN and WAN
  • setting "IPv6 assignment length" to disabled for LAN interface

When I capture WAN traffic during boot procedure I see various unexpected packets with ICMPv6 protocol sent by OpenWRT. Can somebody explain me why these packets are sent and how I can get rid of them?

Thank you for your help.

Greetings
Walter

They are broadcasts and you cannot get rid of them.
