Unable to inform the kernel (BananaPi R64, partition resize)

Hi,

Is there anyway to solve unable to inform the kernel problem? I am Using the Sqaushfs version of OpenWrt on a Banana Pi R64.

Thanks,

Aaron

Can you provide more information please?

Are there any logs or error messages.

There is nothing in the lastlog file in the var folder and that is the only file in that folder.

What issues are you experiencing with your device?

None apart from that.

Where do you see the message "unable to inform the kernel"?

Using /dev/mmcblk1

Are you trying to expand the sqaushfs partition?

Yes, however, wasn´t sure if that problem was related to other thing too so I created its own thread instead of posting in my thread about resizing the rootfs.

What happens when you do as instructed in the error message, i.e. reboot your device?

The device fails to boot

Does it have something to do with the openwrt version I using? I am using version openwrt-22.03.3 it seems to be the only version available for the Banana Pi R64 (or at least, that I could find).

Is this the current version of the kernel? "kernel": "5.10.138". That is the one that I am using.

Edit:

Just come across the Kernel version list and it looks like I am going to have to wait for a new release.
