Unable to flash Archer C7 v5 (aka A7) via TFTP

Hello,

I'm trying to flash my Archer A7 (aka C7 v5) US via TFTP. I'm following instructions from:

https://git.openwrt.org/?p=openwrt/openwrt.git;a=commit;h=bf39d5594b3c8f9409e6d9408a1f370c9f18d0dd
and

but my system never actually flashes. I've connected to the serial port and I can see that the TFTP appears to succeed (after much work to get my interface to stay up without link) but then U-boot starts several times and eventually boots the factory software again:

So, what it finally boots is the tplink software, not openWRT, despite it saying right before that it's booting Image Name: MIPS OpenWrt Linux-3.3.8

Any idea why the software isn't being flashed?

Thanks,
-Josh

Use snapshot for A7 if your device is A7. A7 and C7 are not that identical when flashing, and the system would refuse to install C7's firmware on A7.
