Unable to enable 5Ghz radar channels after disabling

Using LEDE on TP_LINK AC750 travel router

Setting my 5GHz wifi to one of the radar dfs channels e.g ch140 shows success

However if I disable the 5G with
uci set wireless.@wifi-device[0].disabled=1
then enable with
uci set wireless.@wifi-device[0].disabled=0

The 5G wifi radio stays down until I reboot ( even if the channel is set back to 36 )

wifi down radio0 followed by
wifi up radio0 works fine

Just enabling/disabling has the issue.

uci commit is missing.

running

uci set wireless.@wifi-device[0].disabled=1

it just modifies the config file /etc/config/wireless on memory, if you want to reload tehe config file you should run wifi down or wifi up or even wifi reload

if you want to persist the configuration to be read on reboot you should run uci commit that will persist the confg.

Enable / Disable ( sorry I forgot to add followed by UCI commit) works for all other channels ( all on
2.4GHz) it's just the 5G channels within a certain range ( radar range ) for which this fails

Ok, then have you tried uci set wireless....disabled=1 and wifi reload properly but it does not work? have you take a look at dmesg or logread
What channels/range you experience that problem?
