Unable to access Remote Samba Server

Hi all,

I am trying to connect to a Remote Samba Server on my computer but unable to find network path when using Map network Drive in Explorer.

I tested multiple device within the same network but all of them are unable to connect but after changing network ( Connect to my Phone's Hotspot ) all the device can connect to the Samba Server.

I am running a setup of using GPON Modem ( From ISP, Connection PPPoE ), a x86/64 machine running OpenWRT 23.05.2 and a Router broadcasting WiFi Signal ( Dummy Access Point, no DHCP or Firewall setting ).

The Firewall settings pretty much unchanged except allowing Docker to communicate with LAN ( For Surveillance purpose )

I have full control of the Remote Samba server and verified that it is running correctly. My friend can access it without any issue.

I searched for related topic and guide but find nothing help, any help is appreciated  Thanks in advance.

Why would you think this is related to your OpenWrt setup?

Most of the time it's remote end firewall issue, and actually using Samba in this way is strongly discouraged due to security concern.

I am able to connect remote end Samba Server using other network ( eg. my neighbor's WiFi ) and verified everything on remote end, even my friend able to connect without any issue. Tested multiple device not connected to my WiFi and all of them able to connect.

Do not open a SMB server directly to the internet, it is not safe; use a VPN.
