Hi Everyone,
I'm a fresh user of OpenWrt, I installed it on a D-Link DIR-882 router. I'm quite excited about this and I reckon this is very cool.
However, when there are a lot of settings to do there is a chance I brake something.
I activated the guest WiFi just in case for the future guests (2.4G only) but I have the feeling I doubled something as in picture below: SSID OpenWrt (Mode Master). Is it normal to be shown twice? Unfortunately I don't remember how it was before activating the guest WiFi
Can you share /etc/config/wireless , clearing passkeys?
You can create dozen access points per mt76 radio, all with same name.
Thank you for your reply.
However, my Linux level is beginner, if you can help me a bit on how to find these I would be very grateful.
On the other hand, if I disable the unused one (radio 0 - middle one in my picture) or remove it from the Wireless Overview section would be safe ?
Thank you.
You need putty ssh client and notepad++ text editor, or while in web go to network/wireless and delete one of three acces points.
Thank you for guiding me through the Web UI, I'm glad there is one
I disabled it and then deleted it as you said.
My router is happy now
