Trouble with Asus RT-AX59U

I bought an Asus RT-AX59U router specifically for OpenWRT. I installed it using the method described in the wiki: flash to initramfs first, then flash definitively. This seemed to work.

However, there was no web GUI. So I logged in using SSH, and did apk update. When I rebooted the router, it never came back up properly.

I don't get an IP-address when I plug an ethernet cable in, so DHCP doesn't seem to be running. When I set an IP manually, I also cannot connect to the router via web interface or SSH.

I do get an IPv6 address when I plug it in, but I still can't seem to connect via SSH (although my IPv6 knowledge may be too limited to find out where to connect to).

Does anyone have any idea how to get the router back up? I hope I don't have to tear it apart and connect a serial cable.

Do a factory reset. What version of OpenWrt did you flash on it?

Got it going again using failsafe mode and a factory reset, thank you both for the help
